Doggy Style

It was a bright, fresh June morning; I was on my way to work. The regular walk through the leafy side roads to the tube station seemed pleasant. It was one of those mornings when you are grateful to the small mercies of life.

With such an uplifted mood I walked past the Cranberry lane. Due to some unknown reason, no work was going on that morning at the construction site for the proposed Star Lane DLR station; peace and tranquillity reigned everywhere.

As this part of the Manor road was closed, not many people to be seen in the vicinity. Only a middle aged man was walking towards the Sycamore close a few meters ahead of me.

He entered Sycamore close and peed at the outside wall of the nearest house.

I did not quite expect that, to be honest. I blinked my eyes a few times, just to be sure that I am not hallucinating. It was not a Friday night and the man in jeans and T-shirt with thinning grey-brown hair did not quite fit to the stereotype of a ‘yob’. At a different circumstance, I would have thought that man in his late forties to be a university professor.

After finishing the ‘act’, he resumed the walk. I think me might have glanced at me over the shoulder, but he pretended not seeing me. Unfortunately for me, I still had to follow him to continue to my journey to the Canning Town tube station.

At the end of Sycamore close, he entered into a nice house, opposite to the Star Lane park. The way he entered into the house with the keys from his pocket, I thought it was his own house. I have also seen him later many times going in or out of that house along with his family. And this house was less than twenty meters away from the spot where he relieved himself; he could not hold himself even for that long.

I was not only disgusted, but utterly surprised. Why he did this is totally beyond any logical justification. He did not seem sick, or drunk. I think he is just filthy by nature. Or he has serious schizophrenia and thinks he is a dog. But then I have seen dogs that are better behaved.
